The results are in on the 2005 Business Blogging Awards. The real estate category was won by Tampa Bay’s Inside Real Estate Journal, an excellent blog with a laser sharp local focus written by the guy I would call before I did any real estate deal in that part of Florida. His blog also got one of the tongue-in-cheek awards, the Peacock Award for “Most Self-important.” He is that, calling himself Mr. Real Estate, but with the great information he provides his clients he deserves to to be ’self-important’ .

I also want to send congratulations to a couple of the blogs in other categories that I read very regularly and whose writers I’ve had the chance to get to know a little. The whole field was truly amazing, but Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog won for “Best VC/Entrepreneur Blog.” Darren Rowse’s ProBlogger has been very helpful in getting this site running well and narrowly missed a win in the Best Overall Blog category - Darren deserves congratulations for the nomination and for anyone interested in blogging, his is a regular “must read.”
